Hi C, sonny, and Kim, Just thought I would drop you a suggestion. I have already been to Bucks and Spurs a total of ten times, and loved every single trip. However, I thought you might want to mention on your web page about the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum that is located in Mansfield. Molly, Emma, Kim, and I had such a great time when we went to visit the museum. I think it only took us about twenty minutes or so to get there. We just returned from a 3-night stay at Bucks and Spurs. What a great time, filled will both relaxing and exciting activities. Our 7 year old daughter had the time of her life. Well let me see where I shall begin , I spent 4 days in Ava Missouri at the Bucks and Spurs Dude Ranch which was the best time I have had in a long time I was accompanied by 30 adult who had mental disabilities, some who had never, I mean never been around horses or even in the country. There where those who could not talk who "C" took that extra few minutes to spend with and lead them thru the Coral so that they could sign that they rode a Horse, then there who those of us who had not been on a horse in many years and Cat and C and Sonny took time to shorten stirrups so that my (oops) I mean our short legs could fit in the saddles, and then there where the ones who could talk but where just down right scared and the whole clan talked them thru the ride in the Coral and a few that actually went on a trail ride, These wonderful people took extra time to assure that these special people whom I care alot about had a wonderful time we even made a horseshoe craft that everyone could take home. And lets not forget the beautiful cedar cabin, Hey my clothes still smell like cedar after being home a day in a half. The food was that down home cooked meals and you did not leave the table hungry. Oh yea then there was the swimmin hole and the rope to swing off on. WOW was it great . The wagon ride was awesome . You ain't had a vacation till you've spent time with Kim she goes out of her way to make you feel at home.All and all I felt like I had found my country roots again with a whole new family. Before we left I said a prayer and ask the good Lord to bless this ranch and to let it proper. And there is just so much more to say but I just let you go to Ava Missouri to find out for your self.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Bucks and Spurs. A little odd some said but it was so romantic and I am a cowboy and indian buff. There was nothing as awe inspiring as the scenery around the ranch and sitting on the porch watching the sun set over the mountains. We had a feeling of being so free without a care in the world. Sonny and C made us feel like an extension of their family and their neighbors were great too. Miss ya Bill and Cat! Well that was 1 year ago and guess what we are going back for our 1 year anniversary! This place is a definite A+ in our book!!

For anyone not sure if this is the place to come for vacation let me assure you, you will not be sorry you chose this ranch. If you want a fun filled vacation or even a little bit of romance, this is the place for you. I have spent 2 vacations here and never want to go home when it is time to leave. It is also a wonderful place to come if you are looking for a horse to buy! You get to know the horse you may want to buy before you purchase it. You get to see how the horse will act in all types of situations so you know what you are buying unlike a lot of horse buying experiences that can end in disaster! You get to know Cecil and Sonny and see how Cecil trains these horses. He is a wonderful horse trainer using natural horsemanship methods with the horses. These horses do not know what roughness or violence is because of Cecil's gentle ways with them. As a matter of fact I purchased 2 horses from this ranch after riding them on vacation and can say I will never be sorry!!! You couldn't ask for better horses. As soon as you arrive Cecil and Sonny make you feel like you are a part of their family and it is funny because I often think of them as family or good friends of ours. Hey everyone. I went to this ranch three years in a row and have stopped going since 1997. It was the funnest vacation I have ever had and take it from me your kids will LOVE it. I'm 13 now and when I first went I was 7 and my little sister was 2. We havn't been back for a while, but are dying to go. My older sister and I are graduating this year. (I from the 8th grade and her from highschool.) We hope to be able to go for a graduation present this year. Sonny and Cecil and the rest of the crew are the best when you go you'll never want to pick a differnt vacation ever. Is your the vacation you have in mind, carefree and scenic? Bucks and Spurs Guest Ranch is great for any vacation!! It's a beautiful area, with beautiful horses, and GREAT food! It's a great place for any family, couple, or especially youth group vacation. I loved it. The riding is soooooooo much fun!! You ride at your own pace, so it's a great place even if you've never ridden a horse before. Especially when u get 2 walk through the water, etc. When u go swimming, swinging off into the water is soooooo much fun too. It's a great place and I'll always miss Kaliegh and Shadow Dancer. It's a place where u can have fun again and again! Kyley

April 2004 Spent 5 glorious days riding horses 5 hours a day. Was able to groom em and saddle em. Sonny and her family feed me three great meals every day. Got to help worm the horses, look for stay cattle and participate in a semi annual cattle round up...Bucks and Spurs was and always will be, my dream vacation come true. Can't wait to go again.
